The European Commission establish its COPEC, which was set up under the Staff Regulations in 1992.
Opinion of COPEC on the intermediate report (December 1998) on the 3rd action programme
The COPEC was consulted and carried out an assessment of the programme and gave its opinion before the adoption of the report on the programme by the Commission. No negative opinion was registered. In consequence, the result of the consultation of the submitted document by COPEC is judged positively.
Some opinions were selected for comment:
· DGs are requested to publicise their action plans
· Domains related to work organisation (part time and flexibility) should be handled more vigorously
· The absence of progress concerning the reconciliation of work and family is underlined
· Not all GDs are equally concerned with equal opportunities policies
